Snowberry Cottages

Just off the main road from Glencoe to Fort William, in a traditional scattered crofting community, these two very attractive semi-detached cottages were purpose built in 2009 to the highest standards. Exceptionally well appointed, they offer outstanding comfort incorporating every convenience and all rooms are comfortably furnished with lovely finishing touches. Cottage number two has a raised deck with outdoor furniture facing west to the distant mountains and there are large shared grounds with a small stream. All accommodation is on the ground floor with level access from the parking area to the cottages along with gentle ramp access and wide corridors. A short walk down a quiet lane leads to the shore of Loch Linnhe where there is a lovely pebble beach with magnificent views.

Surrounded by dramatic sea and mountain scenery, this beautiful part of Scotland offers a huge choice of activities throughout the year including winter sports and downhill mountain biking at Aonach Mor, climbing in the surrounding mountains and at the Kinlochleven rock climbing school, hill walking, sailing, diving, water sports, golf and angling. The local shop and hotel are within walking distance and 9 miles away Fort William nestles under Scotland's highest mountain Ben Nevis with excellent shops, leisure facilities and a distillery visitor centre. At Corran (1 mile) a car ferry crosses Loch Linnhe giving access to the remote and beautiful Ardnamurchan peninsula where a further ferry crosses to the Isle of Mull. This is an ideal base for exploring with scenic routes leading to Oban, Glencoe, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, Loch Ness and Mallaig.

Reviews
The cottage is very well maintained, spacious, comfortable, very clean and has 2 bathrooms, one en-suite. It is in a good location for travelling around the Glencoe and Fort William areas and only a 2 minute walk from the shores of beautiful Loch Linnhe. The owner was very welcoming and helpful and I thoroughly recommend this cottage.

These cottages are situated in a idyllic setting surrounded by mountains, only metres from Loch Linnhe and a ten minute walk uphill is well worth the breath-taking views of the Glencoe mountains, the loch, Corran Ferry and across to Ardgour.  There are some beautiful little sandy beaches and plenty of fishing opportunities if you turn left when you drive off the ferry. We also drove to Mallaig from Fort William (an hour max) and discovered the amazing white sand beaches at Morar - the scenery was simply breathtaking and no amount of photos do it justice.  The cottages are extremely well equipped and very nicely presented - our cottage was simply perfect and beautifully furnished -  if you need any help or information the owner, Anne is close by and nothing was too much trouble.  Highly Recommended!!
